💬 Adjuster Co-Pilot • Live Follow-Up Q&A & Scope Refinement
INSPECTION CONTEXT ACTIVEFast 1-tap capture for adjuster follow-ups: snap a photo of a voicemail screen, note, or voice message transcript — AI automatically extracts the contact, phone #, claim reference, and action items.
Upload pages of a structural engineering report (foundation, roof framing, deflection, wall shear, moisture/decay vs storm cause). DOC cross-references findings against carrier policy and produces aligned structural Xactimate line items.

💬 Engineer Report Discussion & Adjuster Co-Pilot
Ask follow-ups, challenge findings, or request specific Xactimate line itemsLine-by-line comparison between carrier estimate (SFE) and contractor estimate (CTRE, e.g. Krause/Crous). Identifies unit price spikes, double billing, quantity mismatches, and unit conversions (PC to LF, BD to LF, RL to SF).
Calculates straight-line recoverable depreciation, age caps, actual cash value (ACV), policy deductible, and initial net payment check to the policyholder.
Instantly calculates exact, audit-defensible RFG IWS square footage from EagleView / aerial measurements (eaves, valleys, low pitch) and automatically applies the mandatory underlayment deduction (RFG FELT15 / SYNF).
Drafts formal claim file meteorological documentation cross-referencing NWS/SPC storm reports, radar hail swaths, and gust thresholds.
Instant formal rebuttal narratives for contractor supplement demands: Overhead & Profit (3-trade rule), IRC Ice & Water Shield, Drip Edge inclusion, and Fasteners.
• Potential Large Hail (PLH) Workflow: On-roof physical inspection may be bypassed for full replacement if Verisk hail is ≥ 2.25 inches AND collateral damage to exterior elevations is consistent with hail large enough to require roof replacement.
• Unsealed Shingles: Check for broken heat seals, tearing on underlying shingle, and residue transfer to establish accidental direct physical loss vs cold/wear.
• Wood Roofs: Hail damage requires a split that compromises watertight integrity and exposes fresh, light-colored wood. Weather splits show grey wood or inverted 'V'.
• Other Shingle/Shake Roofs (80% Rule): If repair cost approaches or exceeds 80% of the remove & replace cost, replace the slope.
• Damage Repair Factors:
- 0% to 50% worn = 1.0
- 50% to 75% worn = 1.5
- 75%+ worn = 2.0
• Deteriorated Roofs: When roofer may damage 2-3 brittle shingles for each 1 replaced, factor feasibility of repair into slope replacement determination.
• Replace ONLY IF DAMAGED by Covered Peril: Step flashing, chimney counterflashing, headwall flashing, skylight flashing, flue caps/storm collar, chimney caps, powered (electric) roof vents, solar panels, TV/satellite dishes, skylights, roof HVAC.
• Note: Xactimate labor includes manipulation of undamaged flashing. Separate removal lines are not needed for left-column items because shingle tear-off includes removal labor.
• Tear-Out Coverage: Pays to tear out and replace only that part of the building structure required to access and repair the failed pipe/system. (Pipe repair itself is wear/maintenance).
• Excluded Backup: Downstream sewer/drain line backing up into dwelling requires active Option BOSD Endorsement.
• NFIP Coordination: When surface flood causes sewer backup, NFIP policy is primary and Option BOSD is excess.
• Deductible Exception: Footfall is subject to policy deductible EXCEPT where the ONLY damage to the roof is footfall caused by the adjuster — in that circumstance, reimburse the insured without taking a deductible.
• Estimate new claim at current Date of Loss pricing, deduct current deductible, then subtract prior paid ACV amount for the unrepaired area. Pay net positive ACV difference.
• Trees & Landscaping: Max $750 per item, aggregate 5% of Coverage A. (Windstorm is NOT a covered peril for trees).
• Credit Card / Forgery: Up to $1,000 per occurrence. NO DEDUCTIBLE APPLIES.
• Locks & Remotes: Up to $1,000 following covered theft. NO DEDUCTIBLE APPLIES.
• Collapse: Kitchen cabinet fall covered under weight of contents. Construction defects covered ONLY IF collapse occurs during construction.
Select pitch slope, building height, and tear-off layers to generate exact Xactimate category, selector codes, and composite modifier strings.
